The Dortmund software house, e-Spirit showed, a very positive balance sheet for fiscal year 2004: The specialist for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) won additional well-known customers counter to the general trend in the market for Content Management Systems and thus was able to increase its total sales by 50%, in terms of pure license sales, even by more than 120%. Particularly the extremely high closure rate of app. 80% in CMS selection processes shows that e-Spirit was able to establish itself successfully in the top segment of ECM suppliers. In this regard, expansion of partnerships with system integrators and multimedia service providers also contributed to the success.
The new e-Spirit customers include, twenty4help Knowledge Service AG, FinanceScout24 AG, Jamestown US-Immobilien, Kulturveranstaltungen des Bundes in Berlin GmbH, and Vossloh AG. The integration platform developed by e-Spirit, FirstSpirit, which is used in intranet as well as extranet and Internet applications, is impressive, particularly through its low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and the high level of innovation. FirstSpirit also stands out through its high-quality service, as well as its high-level integration capacity and easy operability for editors.
"In most cases, e-Spirit was able to establish itself in competition against the largest participants in the market from the ECM segment, and thus has moved into the top segment of professional ECM technology suppliers", explained Stephan Woltering, CEO of e-Spirit GmbH. "We have finished the preceding fiscal year profitably and start 2005 with a very good order situation, so that we can continue to drive the expansion of our market position."
In order to reach this goal, e-Spirit will continue to grow in terms of personnel and will particularly expand its marketing and product development activities.
