Media Markt and Saturn, Europe's largest chains of electronic stores, are implementing their new e-commerce sites with the CMS FirstSpirit from e-Spirit. They are integrating the CMS in their multichannel platform based on IBM WebSphere Commerce and in this way are creating the technological basis for development of their online shops and for internationally uniform websites for both brands.

e-Spirit Enters the North American Market

e-Spirit today announced that it has founded a U.S. subsidiary, e-Spirit Inc. The company is headquartered in Boston, MA. From here, e-Spirit will service customers in the United States and Canada and will further expand and develop its network of partners in the region. e-Spirit will launch a road show at the end of October for interested partners and system integrators.

e-Spirit is happy to welcome a new customer from the financial sector: Union Investment has launched its portal for its internal bonus program using the content management system FirstSpirit. The investment company of the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken association uses the CMS integrated with the open source portal Liferay.

Content Management: e-Spirit Acquires its First Customer in France

e-Spirit has acquired its first customer in France: the Fives Group. The international group will use the FirstSpirit CMS to prepare and manage content for the SAP NetWeaver based corporate intranet. Fives, an industrial engineering group, designs and supplies process equipment, production lines and turnkey plants for the the aluminium, steel, cement, energy, glass, sugar, automotive and logistics industries and has around 5,700 employees in nearly 30 countries.
