Over six days from March 4 to 9, prospective buyers can attend live demonstrations, presentations, lectures and see practical examples to learn more about the many new technological features the integration platform has to offer. One new feature is the ability to connect most external data sources by way of connectors, which offer the added convenience of a preview function that is available for all data types. Thanks to Java technology, it is also possible to program connectors to customer-specific databases and systems with a minimum of effort.

Product supplier e-Spirit AG presents PDF PROFESSIONAL, a new module for its FirstSpirit Content Management System (CMS). It allows users to generate high-quality, printable PDF/X3 documents directly from the CMS. The content required for this can be edited at one central location and by several users working together. Compliance with both the corporate design and the quality standards of a professional pre-print format is also reliably guaranteed in the output document.
Endress+Hauser (E+H) will create a group-wide employee portal technically based on the SAP NetWeaver Portal, FirstSpirit and the SAP Business Package for FirstSpirit. The globally operating measuring instrument and automation solution supplier wants to use the portal to provide information to its 7,000 employees in a personalised manner, according to individual requirements. Internal users will additionally be able to access applications and operations quickly and easily. E+H InfoServe’s project managers will be supported by IT service provider HLP as well as CMS manufacturer e-Spirit.

The new website of news channel N24 is now available online. The website at www.N24.de has been completely revamped and updated with several new functions. The main highlight of the new news portal is the video clip service. A video player has been added at the top of the channel’s homepage showing the latest news in web video format. Via the site’s extensive media centre, visitors can search for and watch reports, videos and news. The new N24 site offers visitors a whole host of interactive options. Visitors can comment on and rate news features, upload their own photos or videos, participate in blogs and blog TV broadcasts, or create individual news playlists in the media centre. FirstSpirit’s Content Management System (CMS) was chosen for the task in combination with the ‘Business Package for FirstSpirit’, and was seamlessly integrated into the SAP NetWeaver Portal. Merz, an innovative and international healthcare company with its own research and development department, wanted to decisively simplify information and work processes on its intranet. The existing employee portal, based on SAP NetWeaver, was extended with the FirstSpirit Content Management System (CMS) and Business Package for FirstSpirit.
