CorporateDatabase

Selective exchange of information

CorporateDatabase is a module for distributing and synchronizing database content between FirstSpirit™ projects. The solution enables targeted distribution of data to specific FirstSpirit™ projects or groups of projects. This way it is possible to generate an array of different views of company data for web domains.

Corporate groups and large companies usually have multiple Internet domains. For example, different sites are required for each country in which the company does business. Typically, each individual company inside a corporate group will have a separate website. Each of these sites will have both content that is shared as well specific content. A press release might be relevant for the company at large, for example, or it might only be of relevance to one of the countries where it does business. With CorporateDatabase FirstSpirit™ enables simple, cross-project publication of decentralized database content.

Simple addition of new projects

New FirstSpirit™ projects can be easily added to the CorporateDatabase configuration and can therefore be configured for CorporateDatabase "on the fly".

Support for multiple domains in a single FirstSpirit™ project

In many cases, multiple domains are administered in a single FirstSpirit™ project. With CorporateDatabase data can be distributed between such domains via virtual entities. At each step the editor can clearly see whether it is a domain in the same FirstSpirit™ project or whether the data is actually being moved to another project.

Flexible control of access privileges to domains

With CorporateDatabase you can see from which projects or virtual entities data can be distributed. These privileges can be easily customized by the administrator "on the fly".

Configuration at the table level

Most configurations can be made at the table level. You can also specify at the table level which data records CorporateDatabase should be used for.

Flexible design of the distribution workflow

CorporateDatabase can access FirstSpirit™ jobs in the projects that have had data distributed to them. This way user-defined post-editing tasks can be automatically started or editors can be informed of new data.

Detection of media and data references

References to other database elements are detected and can be mapped to equivalent data in the target project. References to media objects are checked and the medium is copied as required.

Remote media support

References to media from a commonly used remote media area are detected as such and are not copied to the target projects.

Support for different languages

You have the option of using different languages in different projects. Languages which are available in the source projects but not in the target project are ignored while copying. If the target project has languages that are not in the source project, these fields are left empty.

Traceablity via internal logging

With internal CorporateDatabase logging, you can easily keep track of which data records are distributed to which target projects and when. You can also quickly learn if a data record could not be transferred due to an error.
