Maintaining user profiles in data sources
The maintenance of profiles can be done in the convenient interface of the FirstSpirit™ data sources. An external admin interface is therefore not neccessary.
Maintenance by users and editors
Depending on the application scenario the maintenance of user data can be handled either by the editors only or by the users themselves. For this second case, FirstSpirit™ DynamicPersonalization provides a tag library for creating the according sites in the twinkling of an eye.
Authentification via NTLM, LDAP and FirstSpirit™- data sources
Due to the modular structure of FirstSpirit™ DynamicPersonalization there are a number of authentification adapters at hand. It is possible to authenticate via NT Lan Manager (NTLM), the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) or relational data banks. Further adapters can be created with minimal implementation efforts only.
Using Single Sign-On (SSO)
DynamicPersonalization offers different Single Sign-On solutions. They provide the opportunity for users to authenticate themselves for multiple applications or systems with only a single login process. A SSO connection to the FirstSpirit™ CMS Server, the SAP Portal Server, the IBM WebSphere Portal Server and JOSSO (Java Open Single Sign-On) is possible.
