Simple integration of product data for e-commerce
Each online editor who wants to compile a website article or a newslettter by drawing product data from a PIM system knows that, with manual maintenance, the process is not only time consuming but is also susceptible to errors. The editor must extract the individual product data from the Product Information Management (PIM) System and manually add it to the Content Management System. Apart from the time required and the lack of synchronisation between the systems, a further disadvantage is that editors have accesses for both systems and have to work with different user interfaces.
e-Spirit offers the module PIM-Integration to simplify this process. It combines two systems, each leaders in their own segment: the FirstSpirit™ Content Management System and the e-commerce applications of hybris GmbH.
PIM-Integration can be used to conveniently search for products in the editing interface of FirstSpirit™ and call up the relevant product data (descriptions, prices, pictures, etc.) directly from hybris and copy it into the editorial content - without the author having to separately log into the commerce suite first or create new data. This enormously simplifies the maintenance of online shop websites.
