FirstSpirit™ can be quickly and easily enhanced using scripting. The system provides an API for this purpose.
Typical application scenarios are:
- Own wizards for individual control of editor input
- Implementation of XML importers, e.g. for automatic import of dpa or Reuters news feeds
- Automatic actions which should be executed during the workflow sequence
In this course experienced FirstSpirit™ developers learn:
- How to use the FirstSpirit™ API interface
- Scripting with BeanShell and Java
- Script types (template, menu, schedule)
Training in practice
The training is based on practical examples, for example, topics include creating, editing, saving and release of page, section and database content in the project or creating schedule scripts. Specific tasks of the project to be implemented can also be used in the training.
The requirements for the scripting training course are attendance of a template developer training course and good basic knowledge of all aspects of FirstSpirit™.
