For traditional brick-and-mortar stores, it may be hard to establish an e-commerce site. Why is that? Well, one reason is because selling merchandise that you can touch and feel is very different than selling merchandise that you can see on a website. There are many other reasons why this is hard to do, but one company we’ve worked with, Media-Saturn, did a great job tackling these issues.
Media-Saturn is one of the largest consumer electronics companies in Europe. As they added online sales to their offerings, they found that there were many hurdles to overcome including:
- Managing multiple online channels
- Supporting content in over 900 stores across 15 countries
- Ensuring that multiple languages were supported
- Maintaining brand- and country-specific content centrally
